For one remarkable young boy, Joshua Ismirnioglou, Gerry Gionco and the Kyle Dempsey Gionco Foundation along with sponsors REFLEX, will present a spectacular night of Championship Kickboxing on Saturday July 17th at the Abbotsford Sports and Entertainment Centre – all in support of Joshua and the Real fight Against Cancer.
Joshua is great little boy whose had to tough it out like a real champion these past few months. You see, it was just before Christmas when he was diagnosed with Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of cancer, and its been really hard for him. To fight it Joshua has had to endure a lot of very difficult treatment. It's all much more than a boy his age should have to take on but he's made his family and everyone around him very proud as continues – with a lion's courage – to face down this thing.
Now all this courage hasn't gone unnoticed, as Gerry Gionco knows something about champions and he sees one in Joshua. Gerry wants everyone to know that young Joshua can use all of our support right now as he continues down the road of his treatment and care so he can get better just as soon as possible. Proceeds of this championship event will go towards helping ensure that Joshua has access to the very best of care – and everything he needs besides. And it would really mean so much to Joshua to know he has the love and support of the community behind him all the way.
